The world’s largest cloud service provider, Microsoft has partnered LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2022as the Platinum Sponsor giving a further boost to the country’s first and the only payment technology innovation awards in its fourth edition.
The sponsorship cheque was officially handed over by Harsha Randeny, Country Manager, Microsoft Sri Lanka and Maldives to Channa de Silva, GM/CEO LankaClear recently at LankaClear office.
The outbreak of COVID-19 nearly brought not only the entire country but also the whole world to a standstill. To ensure that the local businesses and society could function seamlessly, the financial sector worked tirelessly alongside workers in other essential services. Due to their silent contribution, the businesses and public were able to perform their day-to-day financial transactions from wherever they were, safely and conveniently.
LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2022 aims to recognize the flagbearers of payment technology innovations in the country who have steadfast to the cause of promoting digital payments thereby supporting businesses, government, and individuals to carry out their financial transactions seamlessly during these challenging times.
Organized by LankaClear – the operator of LankaPay National Payment Network, the award ceremony is scheduled to be held on March 29th at Shangri-La Colombo.
Basudev Banerjee, APAC Enterprise Director – FSI, Microsoft will deliver the keynote address at the event. Banerjee has over three decades of experience in business consulting, banking, financial markets, corporate finance, and treasury operations.
