NDB’s 2020 Annual Report themed ‘Everyone. Everwhere’ was recognized with the Bronze Award across all sectors along with three other awards at the CMA Excellence (Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka) in Integrated Reporting Awards 2021.
NDB bagged the overall Bronze award/second runner up across all sectors amidst high competition. Further, the Bank was also recognized as the ‘Best Integrated Report - Banking Sector’, ‘Winner - Five Excellent Report’ and ‘Winner – Best Disclosure on Materiality’ all of which are much sought after by leading corporates in the country, including banks, engaged in integrated reporting in their annual reports.
The 2020 Annual Report was NDB’s eighth consecutive integrated annual report, prepared in accordance with the framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). NDB was also one of the pioneering banking institutions in Sri Lanka to adopt the IIRC framework which is widely recognized as an effective mode of reporting, which encapsulates an organizations value creation process.
The awards won under the Integrated Reporting category across all sectors, affirm the progressive enhancements NDB has achieved in related reporting. NDB continually reviews and adopts best practice in local and international reporting and disclosure guidelines in its annual reports – in both financial and non-financial disclosures, to ensure quality information provided to all stakeholders.
