National Development Bank PLC (NDB) recently re-launched one of its iconic campaigns - “Salli Ratin – Thagi Apen” to promote and encourage the channeling of foreign remittances through the Western Union money transfer platform.
The campaign features incentives for customers who partner with NDB for foreign remittances in the form of gift vouchers from Cargills Ceylon PLC. The campaign coincides with the ongoing festive season and will be available until April 30.
This incentive is expected to boost remittances of foreign funds through formal banking channels, which make a valid contribution towards enhancing the official foreign reserves of Sri Lanka, which is critical to the country at this juncture.
Additionally, NDB brings the utmost convenience to customers, as they can receive money via Western Union with just one phone call or by sending a message through the NDB NEOS app.
The incentive offered features gift vouchers worth up to Rs. 1,000, varying upon the amount remitted via Western Union, and can be redeemed at any outlet of Cargills Food City, Food City Express, KFC, TGI FRIDAYS and Regal, Majestic, or Empire Cinemas.
This marks the second instance in which NDB launched a similar campaign, the first being during the last quarter of 2022. Incentives worth Rs. 1 million were distributed among customers who received foreign remittances via NDB Western Union. The campaign was a success, with exponential growth seen in the particular customer engagement.
