Nations Trust Bank (NTB) has joined as a launch partner for Lanka Remit, the national remittance app launched by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The timely initiative offers Sri Lankan citizens overseas a secure digital remittance option providing Sri Lankans working abroad direct access to the existing remittance channels, while giving them the ability to choose more convenient and cost-effective remittance channels to send money to Sri Lanka.
Launched on February 8t 2022, in partnership with multiple stakeholders, Lanka Remit fills the need for faster, safer and easier remittances at their fingertips, facilitated by NTB and other remittance partners. The app integrates multiple options including but not limited to checking rates, remitting money directly, using debit and credit cards from the countries they are based in to remit money to beneficiaries in Sri Lanka, as well as paying bills.
