SDF signs MOU with Hayleys Agriculture to empower rural community

Sarvodaya Development Finance (SDF), the first development finance company in Sri Lanka, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited (HAHL).


The partnership aims to facilitate the sale of Kubota and E-Kubota tractors, Kubota combine harvesters, and Agrotech combine harvesters. The MOU combines SDF’s commitment to empowering rural communities with Hayleys’ dedication to the development of agriculture within the country.


This partnership between SDF and HAHL, offers a host of benefits to the agriculture sector of the country, providing communities with the resources and means of accelerating development, and ensuring the upliftment of people across Sri Lanka. 


Customers will also be able to enjoy significant price discounts on the initial down payment as well as attractive interest rates, facilitating an easily accessible scheme to applicants from all social strata. SDF will offerfirst-year insurance free of charge, building onto the multitude of benefits offered by the scheme. 


Despite the challenges faced by the agriculture sector, SDF’s agri-based portfolio has continued to grow over the past many months, significantly contributing to the country’s crisis-struck economy.
