205 diplomats, 123 MPs vaccinated against COVID-19

Over 83,000 armed forces, police personnel vaccinated

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said 205 diplomats and 123 Parliamentarians had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of yesterday. 

Meanwhile, 83,430 personnel from the three armed forces and police have been administered with Astra-Zeneca COVISHIELD vaccine against COVID-19, up to date, since the commencement of the vaccination roll out in the country.  


The total number of vaccines administered in the country currently stands at 466,861.  


Among them, 46,173 from the Army, 10,435 sailors, 7,447 Airmen and 19,375 policemen were vaccinated.  
In addition, 176,808 vaccines have been administered to the health sector staff, including doctors, while 186,245 doses were administered to the general public.  Besides, 18,995 doses were administered on those identified as people belonging to vulnerable segment.
