A 32-year-old man of Elugolla in the Rangala Police area had been killed in a shooting in the early hours of last morning.
The victim popularly known as “Kalu” was in the house when a group of unidentified gunmen entered the house by breaking open the door and had shot him point-blank, killing him instantly.
Police believe that a clash between two groups of racketeers engaging in contraband trades had resulted in the killing.
Investigations revealed that the elder brother was on remand in connection with his involvement in the racket. Rangala Police are conducting further investigations.
