• The ASP’s only son who was a law student died on August 30 while his wife died last week

The wife and only son of an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) attached to the IGP’s Secretariat, has died due to the COVID-19.

The ASP is also receiving treatment at the Kundasale Police Hospital for the Covid infection. The ASP’s son who was a law student had died on August 30 while being treated at the Kotelawala Defence Hospital while the ASP’s wife died last week while receiving treatment for COVID-19.
