Adequate fuel reserves are maintained at the port fuel bank and there is no disruption to ports’ operations due to the current fuel crisis, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Dr. Prasantha Jayamanna said.
Operations at the Port of Colombo are smooth and its fuel bank has a stock of 32,000 MT of fuel, he said.
“In the face of the fuel crisis, the port activities will not be allowed to falter, and the employees are making a commendable contribution towards the smooth and efficient operations at all sections of the port,” he said.
