Prof. Jayasinghe has made a number of controversial comments recently

• President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed D.M.L.D. Bandaranaike as the new Secretary

 Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Prof. Udith K. Jayasinghe has been removed from his post.  
Accordingly, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed D.M.L.D. Bandaranaike as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture.  

In the recent past Prof. Udith K. Jayasinghe has made a number of controversial comments regarding organic fertilisers.
