The Front Line Socialist Party (FLSP) is contemplating legal action against the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and other parties concerned against their financial scams where they have invested a large sum on a venture in an island, FLSP Senior Duminda Nagamuwa said yesterday.

“We have also heard that the parties whom we accused of financial scams are also contemplating legal action against us. We will see what steps they will take and then decide on what kind of legal action we would take against them,” Nagamuwa told Daily Mirror.

“We have also found out that the JVP have some kind of connection with some members in the government. It was them who got the police to attack our student union members at recent protests,” he said.

National People’s Power (NPP) Member and long standing JVPer Vijitha Herath when contacted by Daily Mirror denied all allegations. “We don’t want to comment on this nonsense,” he said.
