The Sri Lanka Army is to launch a mobile vaccination drive from today (12) to vaccinate the elderly, sick, handicapped and feeble sections in society, in the Western province, the Army Headquarters said yesterday.
To begin with, ten special vehicles with medical teams of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) and the Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health would accordingly administer the vaccine. Those who need the mobile service are requested to register themselves with the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) through Hotline No.s 1906 or 0112860002.
The new vaccination drive will be launched as per directions given by the Head, of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva.
