MP Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan yesterday said his onetime secretary Asad Maulana whom channel 4 has introduced as a whistle blower in its latest video on Easter Sunday attack is a con man who betrays others for his survival.
“ Asad Maulana had sought political asylum abroad by producing false accusations.
He falsely said he cannot live in Sri Lanka and sought asylum,” he told Parliament.
“ It is an extremist Islamic group which masterminded the Easter Sunday attacks and this fact should be understood by many including the catholic church. They should remember that there are terror groups such as the Taliban still existing in the globe,” the MP said.
“ The leader of opposition had called for an investigation on Channel 4 video and I also call for the same. A broad probe should be carried out on media reports on channel 4 as well,” he added.
