 Leader of the House Minister Dinesh Gunawardene told Parliament yesterday that the attack on politicians’ houses had been carried out after obtaining information through drone footages.   

“All information such as the access roads to the residences of Ministers have been gathered using drone cameras. The attacks have been launched after gathering information using these modern technologies,” he said.   

“It has been outsiders who have attacked the houses of ministers on that fateful day and not those who were in the respective villages where the residences of government MPs and Ministers are located,” he added.   
He stressed that Parliament should play a role in carrying out investigations on the incidents of May 9. “If not the country will go into anarchy while democracy will diminish,” he also said.
