Popular Sri Lankan actor Darshan Dharmaraj passed away at the age of 41 yesterday morning, hospital sources said. The actor had been admitted at the National Hospital in Colombo last morning. It is suspected that he had died of a heart condition. However, the post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of the death.
Darshan Dharmaraj made his first television appearance through Sidney Chandrasekara’s teledrama A9. He was awarded the Best Actor Award at several Film festivals in Sri Lanka for his role as an ex-LTTE cadre in Asoka Handagama’s movie Ini Avan.
