A complaint has been made by Minister Bandula Gunawardane’s Coordinating Secretary Ranjith Mudannayake to Homagama Police against holding a public meeting in Homagama electorate, with Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa’s participation.
He stated that Minister Bandula Gunawardane in his capacity as Coordinator of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) had been severely inconvenienced by the meeting organised by a former Provincial Council member without his knowledge. He made this complaint with the connivance of the Minister. A senior official of Homagama Police said the police could only inform it to the Elections Commission and that there was nothing else that could be done in their capacity.
