A 37-year-old man has been arrested over sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl in Colombo, the authorities said.
National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) said the suspect is the brother-in-law of the victim.
He was arrested following a complaint received by the Special Investigation Unit of the National Child Protection Authority.
The suspect was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court and remanded till July 23 on charges of molesting a minor.
