The Colombo Crime Division (CCD) released a photograph of a 33-year-old suspect, a manager of a night club, over a shooting incident near Leslie Ranagala Mawatha in Borella where a man was killed.
Police said a 53-year-old man died after being shot at by two unidentified gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle in Borella on May 20.
The victim, a resident of Kelaniya, succumbed to his injuries on admission to the National Hospital, Colombo. The CCD launched investigations into the shooting and they revealed that one of the suspects wanted over the shooting had fled the area. The suspect has been identified as Lanka Ekanayake, with NIC No. 890790410V and two residential addresses, 396/4/A/B, IDH Road, Gothatuwa and another at 75/34, Maligakanda Road, Maradana, Colombo 10.
