Opposition MP Patali Champika Ranawaka said he is ready to head the parliamentary oversight committee to probe alleged malpractices in the purchases of fuel and coal. Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara asked for the appointment of such a committee headed by an opposition MP. In response, Mr. Ranawaka said he was to ready to accept it.
