An illicit liquor trader who forced two underage boys to drink liquor was arrested by the Oyamaduwa police during a raid on a distillery on the banks of the Oyamaduwa tank.
Police said the two children were of ten and five years of age and that they had been found in a intoxicated state when police had arrived on information received through the Police Emergency Service 119.
The two children were admitted to Anuradhapura teaching hospital and the 25 year old suspected illicit liquor trader was produced in court and remanded till October 11. OIC Oyamaduwa Police Dimuthu Gunasekara is conducting further investigations.
