 The Colombo-Badulla main road was blocked at Pussella area in Haldummulla yesterday evening due to an earth slide as a result of the prevailing heavy rains, Haldummulla Police said.   

 

A massive mound of rocks and trees has completely blocked an area of 50 feet on the road and the Road Development Authority was informed to clear the soil using backhoes, the Police added.   

Residents of the area said there are no alternative roads to use.
