Sri Lanka Public Health Inspector’s (PHI) Association said if there are signs of the death rate in CORONA was declining, it was mainly due to the effectiveness of the vaccination programme.

President of the association Upul Rohana told Daily Mirror yesterday when inquired about the circumstances that led to the reducing CORONA death rate in Sri Lanka when compared to other countries was it was undoubtedly a result of the on going vaccination programme. “However, it is imperative that health guidelines should be strictly adhered to continually even after vaccinating. It is important that every individual of different ages, as recommended, should obtain the vaccination and coordinate the endeavour of the health authorities to wipe out the CORONA pandemic from the country.

This will not only save themselves but the members of their families including children from the pandemic,” he further said.
