Referring to his recent episode with MP Velu Kumar at a political talk show telecast over a private TV channel, MP P. Digambaram said he got annoyed with the former as he was making false allegations.
Both are from the Tamil Progressive Alliance. Mr. Kumar recently defected from it and decided to back President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Election, whereas Mr. Digambaram is supporting Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) candidate Sajith Premadasa.
“I got angry as Mr. Velu Kumar made false allegations against me. Genuine people lose their temper when false allegations are made against them,” he told Daily Mirror.
Meanwhile, MP Mano Ganesan who told media called for a probe on the matter. “It was a pre-planned incident by some interested parties.
