Presidential Candidate Dullas Alahapperuma and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa who is tipped to be the Prime minister of a future government that would be formed today, pledged to establish cooperative politics. They made this pledge making a joint statement yesterday. “We never made an effort to engage in cooperative politics in the past. However today both of us have come together in establishing a culture of cooperative politics,” Mr. Alahapperuma said.
“We have ended an era of isolating parties and eliminating them in the decision making process and we shall include all parties in the government which we shall form, from now on,” Mr. Premadasa said.
Both leaders spoke at the joint statement one after the other, which was circulated from SJB.
