A first fully automatic electric maternity bed worth about Rs 4.5 million and other equipment were donated by the California Hospital Services Support and Hospital Services Council to De Soyza Maternity Hospital. Director Hospital Services Council Venerable Rajawelle Subuthi Thera participated in the event. Director of Soyza Hospital Dr. Pradeep Wijesinghe and the staff Chaminda Kariyawasam and Nilupama Kariyawasam were also present.
