One of the five Supreme Court Judges who was supposed to consider a fundamental rights petition filed by the parents of a 20-day-old infant who died after being infected with the coronavirus, had resigned from the bench citing personal reasons.
Supreme Court Judge Yasantha Kodagoda, a member of the panel, said he was withdrawing from hearing the petition due to personal reasons.
The consideration of the petition was adjourned till May 25, 2021.
The petition was filed by the parents of the infant residing in the Mattakkuliya area.
