An individual who sustained serious injuries in an explosion during a fire works display at a wedding reception on Saturday (27) in Thambuttegama died on admission to the Thambuttegama Divisonal Hospital.
The victim Dhanushka Lakmal Jayatilleka (31) of Thekkawatta, in Thambuttegama was a motorcycle mechanic by profession.
Investigations revealed that a cracker had misfired and exploded causing serious head injuries when he attempted to light it .
