Five state ministers appointed as Acting ministers

 Five state ministers have been appointed as Acting ministers and they will be in charge of these ministries during the absence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe who had left for UK to attend the funeral of British Monarch Queen Elizabeth the second.

Accordingly Pramitha Bandara Tennekoon has been appointed Acting Minister of Defense, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya as the Acting Minister of Finance, Geetha Kumarasinghe as the Acting Minister of Child and Women Empowerment, Kanaka Herath as the Acting Minister of Technology Development and Dilum Amunugama as the Acting Minister of Investment Promotion.   


President Wickremesinghe who reached London yesterday will return to the island on Tuesday morning after attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth.
