Forcible entry into house and assault on person JVP member arrested

A JVP member in the Welivitiya-Divithura Pradeshiya Sabha in the Galle District had been arrested by the Baddegama Police on suspicion of entering a house by force and assaulting the owner.  

Police said the suspect, under he influence of liquor, had caused damage to the garden gate. He was to be produced before the Baddegama Magistrate yesterday.  

The owner of the house who received minor injuries was admitted to the Baddegama hospital.
