A former LTTE cadre who had been attached to the LTTE police force was arrested yesterday by Vavuniya Division Crime Investigation Unit on charges of stealing motorcycles.
During investigations, the police recovered two stolen motorcycles valued at more than Rs. 500,000. Police said the two motorcycles had been sold to individuals in Mullaitivu and Madhu areas for lower prices.
He was being further questioned to find out if he had stolen more motorcycles.
