While thanking the public for reducing their movements drastically for three days, the Government Medical officers’ Association (GMOA) yesterday requested them again to honour the travel restriction for another ten days; until the end of the Vesak celebrations.

GMOA Secretary Dr. Shenal Fernando requested people to come out from their houses only for essential needs.
“This will help to strengthen the programme that the Government has initiated to treat asymptomatic patients. If those patients show any COVID symptoms, the GMOA requested to contact the nearest health authority to obtain immediate medications,” Dr. Fernando said.  This will help to control the spreading of the virus and to minimise the number of deaths, he said.
