Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Pradeshiya Sabha Member in Nuwaragam Palatha East in Anuradhapura, Kumudu Priyantha Gunawardena said that he has begun harvesting 21 acres of fields cultivated using organic fertilizer. 

 “There is no sign of a decrease in the harvest. I also cultivated maize using organic fertilizer. I used liquid organic fertilizer as well as organic pesticides.  

I see this as a good opportunity for Sri Lankan farmers. I have cultivated vegetables, several varieties of paddy, BG 384 paddy type, and endemic paddy types using organic fertilizer.
