The government has approved the purchase of nine million doses of Sinopharm and 14 million doses of Pfizer at the unit price and it has been decided to vaccinate all people over 18 years of age by September 30 in order to reduce the impact of the pandemic.
The decision taken by the negotiating committee appointed by Cabinet ministers for the vaccine requirements. The COVID-19 vaccination programme was planned to be administered to a population of 14 million initially with a view to protecting the population from the pandemic, and as at August 9, the country had received 19.49 million doses of vaccines.
