The Committee on Public Finance of Parliament (COPF) has emphasized the need for the government to present a resolution outlining the specifics of the Domestic Debt Restructuring (DDR) programme during its meeting yesterday, Daily Mirror learns.
Ten members of the COPF voted in favour of the proposal that the Leader of the Opposition could only observe and cannot participate actively, a member of the committee told the Daily Mirror.
However, Sajith Premadasa remained in the room but only as an observer.
