Potato farmers in Hatton expressed concern about the heavy losses incurred by them due to the use of organic fertiliser that resulted in poor yields.
They said they depended on the promise of the Agrarian Services Department that potato fertiliser and loan facilities would be available but they did not receive any.
The farmers said they reaped a poor harvest and incurred heavy losses.
Farmers pointed out that a large stock of potato had been affected by pests for want of pesticides.
