Whilst stating that there are differences of opinion between himself and Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa, SJB MP Harin Fernando yesterday said Mr. Premadasa can be put on the right track if the MPs get together and show him the right path.
Speaking during the opening of the SJB office in Wattala he said it will be possible to succeed if the game is played in the right way.
“My thinking pattern is different to Mr. Premadasa. However, it will be possible to put Mr Premadasa on the right track if the MPs in the party get together and insist on making decisions based on majority thinking. We could not do it in UNP,” Mr Fernando said.
Also, Mr. Fernando announced that he will retire from politics when he reaches the age of 60. “I cannot go beyond the age of 60. However, my intention is to create few successors to take over Wattala and Gampaha,” he stressed.
He also said the Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith had come to the same conclusions held with regard to the Easter Sunday attacks. “What the Cardinal says concerning Easter Sunday attacks are what I came up with just after the attacks. This is why I believe there is a God,” he said in this regard.
