The price of a 12.5 kg domestic LITRO gas cylinder was reduced by Rs.452 from midnight yesterday, LITRO Lanka Chairman and CEO Muditha Peiris said.
Accordingly, the new retail price of the 12.5kg gas cylinder will be Rs.3,186.
The 5 kg gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs.181 and the new retail price will be Rs.1,281.
The 2.3 kg cylinder will be reduced by Rs.83 and the new retail price will be Rs.598.
The price revision took place following collective efforts taken by the Finance Ministry, Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), the Presidential Secretariat and LITRO Lanka Ltd., following newly added features to the existing gas price formula.
