Another wild elephant in Karapinchawa area in Oyamaduwa had been killed by locally made explosive device ‘Hakka Patas’ yesterday.
Wildlife conservators said that the she-elephant was about six years old and that it had been lying in a critical condition for about three days before it died despite their attempts to save its life. They said it was profusely bleeding from the injury in its mouth caused by the Hakka Patas explosion.
