Some seven schools in Colombo including Royal is running without principals currently, the Education Ministry said yesterday.
Devi Balika, Prince of Wales College Moratuwa, St Paul’s, Hindu College, Isipathana College, Lumbini and Piliyandala MMV are some of the schools in and around Colombo without principals.
It was also revealed that a total number of 46 schools are without Principals. Bandaranaike MW Gampaha, Sangamitta College, Dharmashoka, Devananda Vidyalaya, St Thomas’ Chilaw, Joseph Vaas College, Rajapaksa Vidyalaya Weeraketiya, Anuradhapura MMV and few more are also without principals.
Applications have been called from the relevant officers before December 31 2024 to fill vacancies.
