The main suspect in connection with the incident of the abduction and torture of two persons in an inhumane manner for allegedly sharing a defamatory post against an individual on Facebook, were arrested at Balagolla in Kandy yesterday.
He had been arrested after surrendering to the Balagolla Police through his lawyers. Five police teams had been deployed to arrest the suspect who was evading arrest over the last six days.
All the suspects in connection with the incident have been arrested and they are to be produced for an identification parade. The two victims had been nailed to a cross by the main suspect along with eight others on June 25.
