There is a possibility to develop a low-level atmospheric disturbance to the SouthEast, off Sri Lanka within the coming days, further enhancing the showery condition, the Department of Meteorology warned yesterday.
Showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces and in the Galle and Matara Districts. Showers or thundershowers are also expected to occur at several places elsewhere in the evenings or nights. Showers may occur in the Northern and Eastern Provinces as well during the mornings too. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are expected at certain places in the Uva, Eastern and North-Central Provinces and in the Hambantota District.
