A definite price increase will come into effect for milk powder in the coming week, milk powder importers’ association said yesterday.
They said the decision was taken due to the depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar.
All imported milk powder in the country has come to an end by now.
The importers said that new stocks had not been imported in the past two weeks.
A milk powder consignment is to arrive in the country by the end of next week.
As soon as the consignment lands here, the importers confirmed that they would calculate the cost and increase the price considering the value of the dollar.
