Veteran tusker ‘Nedungamuwe Raja’ inaugurated the final Randoli Perahera of the Kandy Esala Festival at the auspicious time of 6.44pm yesterday from the Dalada Maligawa by bearing the golden casket of the sacred relics. He was soon flanked by Maligawa tusker ‘Indi Raja’ and Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya tusker ‘Wasana’.
