The Ministry of Power and Energy together with the management of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation ( CPC) has had successful negotiations with crude oil suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of oil next year.
Ministry sources said suppliers have agreed to bring in eight shipments of crude oil next year, while negotiations are continuing to get down another six shipments.
“It will be possible to keep Sapugaskanda refinery opened throughout next year,”
sources said.
It was also said that Sri Lanka will have a stable supply of Naphtha as well in the coming year.
