The Committee on High Posts approved the appointments of two ambassadors, three Secretaries to Ministries and a Chairman, Parliament Media Unit which quoted Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake said.
The approval was also given to Sri Lankan Ambassador to Brazil D.M.S.P. Dassanayake and Ambassador to Iran G.M.V. Wishwanath Aponsu who were called before the Committee.
The Committee approved the appointments of M. N. Ranasinghe as the Secretary to the State Ministry of Production and Supply of Fertiliser and Regulation of Chemical Fertiliser and Insecticide Use, Mr. Vidanapathirana as the Secretary to the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Conservation and S.M.D.L.K. De Alwis as the Secretary to the State Ministry of Vehicle Regulation, Bus transport Services and Train Compartments and Motor Car Industry.
Approval was also given to V.P.K. Anusha Palpita as the Chairman to the Development Lotteries Board.
The Committee on High Posts chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene on June 23, 2021 approved the aforesaid appointments.
Ministers Dinesh Gunawardena, Johnston Fernando, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, State Ministers Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle, Vidura Wickramanayaka and Parliamentarians W.D.J. Seneviratne and Anura Priyadharshana Yapa were present at the meeting.
