Whilst alleging that opposition members are being harassed by listening into their phone conversations, SJB MP Patali Champika Ranawaka yesterday said he is ready to reply to the allegations publicly, if airtime is given to them by state TV channels and other state media.

"We are willing to taken on those who make allegations against us publicly on state TV," Mr. Ranawaka told media after giving a statement to CID. He was summoned to CID yesterday to record a statement on the 'iron man project' which was carried out by him as the former Minister of Western Region Development and Megapolis, during the previous regime.

"Even those officers who worked at our ministries are being harassed today. I would like to request that these officers be left alone. If anyone wants to take revenge they should deal with us and should not harass state officers who worked under us," he added.

Mr. Ranawaka was questioned for over two hours on the work carried out by his ministry.
