The Professionals National Front (PNF) which is a collective of several state sector professional associations which had carried out a research on the transition towards organic fertilizer and traditional agriculture methods had recommended compilation of a formula with a three-year transfer period to shift towards organic farming.
The interim report of the Professionals National Front had called for an effective monitoring system to ensure a smooth transition. They have also recommended a mechanism to address the possible reduction of food crops during the four sessions during the transition period. It has also called for the focusing on reducing wastage of food crops. It has also recommended a sound information system so that information on stocks could be communicated. The report had called for giving an interim period for the farmers to settle in to use organic fertilizer and traditional agri methods.
