It has been revealed that staff attached to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUSL) has been given 11 kinds of monthly allowances.
As per a statement issued by the Parliament media unit, a sum of Rs 45,873,343 has been spent monthly even prior to 2021.
Also it was revealed that a sum of Rs. 80 million has been spent for a single public awareness programme.
Another disclosure that has been revealed was the renting of a Benz car without an agreement.
All these were revealed when PUSL officials including Chairman Janaka Ratnayake was summoned before COPE on Thursday.
