The driver of a private bus, who had allegedly hurled a bottle of urine on the driver of an SLTB bus, which was passing alongside the private bus, was produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate T. Thenabadu and remanded till June 21, the Police said.
Suspect D. Ruwan Hasitha De Silva is a resident of Kotugoda and the driver of a private bus on the Minuwangoda - Colombo route and the driver of the SLTB bus, a resident of Akkaraipattu.
Police told court that the driver of the private bus racing against the SLTB bus had obstructed the way of the latter, endangering the passengers and that the conductor of the private bus, who was part of the crew had fled the area to evade arrest.
The suspect was produced in court by Sergeant 38098 Sudath Nanadasiri of Minuwangoda Police.
