Prez amends Institutional, Legal Framework of several Ministries

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has amended the Institutional and Legal Framework of the “Presidential Secretariat – National Priority Programme” and several Ministries including the Finance Ministry with effect from Wednesday (17).  

Accordingly, newly established Presidential Task Force for One Country, One Law and Presidential Task Force for Green Agriculture were included under the Institutional and Legal Framework of the “Presidential Secretariat – National Priority Programme”  


In addition, Institutional and Legal Framework of the State Minister of National Security and Disaster Management, Minister of Finance, Foreign Minister, State Minister of Skills Development,Vocational Education, Research and Innovation and Minister of Mass Media were also amended.  


Institutions coming under the Revival (Removal) of Under-performing Enterprises or Under-utilized Assets Act vested to the Secretary to the Treasury have been newly gazetted under the Finance Ministry.   Sri Lanka Institute of Printing which was under the State Minister of Skills Development,Vocational Education, Research and Innovation has been gazetted under the Ministry of Mass Media.  


The Secretariat for Non-Governmental Organizations which was earlier gazetted under State Minister of Internal Security, Home Affairs and Disaster Management has now been brought under Foreign Minister in the new gazette notification.
